A large market :
In Europe, a newborn baby receives an average of 23 up to 37 gifts for a value of 20 up to 30 Euros a piece. In United States, the market is estimated around 20 gifts for an average value of 20 to 25 dollars.
An emotional investment :
Most of the time, the person who wants to give a present will take it himself/herself at the maternity hospital for the young mother. We know that the consumer of baby gifts will show his interest and gratitude to the recipient when offering a gift. The value of the gift is also very meaningful of the relationship between the offerer and recipient. In other words, nothing is too good for the ones you love !
A strategic market :
The coming of the first child changes the habits of a couple. Working hours, leisure, shopping… a new way of life. A new customer is born. But only the best will satisfy the overdemanding needs of the new mother. " Nothing is to good for my baby " !
Motivation :
Buying a gift is very different from buying for ones own. Of course, tenderness is involved but also questions on what the mother really needs, her likes and expects. And above all the buyer is driven by one single obsession : make sure that the mother is never disappointed. It is on these fundamental rules that GSA has developed its success. A different market that requires a special knowledge.
