Who we are and how we began :
Our company is located between Nantes and Cholet and was founded in 1912. At that time, the company
was specialized in making handkerchiefs, prawnsheets.
In the eightees, these products were already being sold in beautifully wrapped boxes. In 1982 the
new brandname Sucre d’Orge (candy cane) was born ! In 1985, the first " Baby’s
Villages " (Sucre d’Orge corners) appeared in the french hypermarkets. Sucre d’Orge
becameg a leading brandname on the babygift market.
In 1995, under the spur of Christian CUNAUD, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman newly arrived
in march ’98, the Group Salmon Arc en Ciel was born again !
Today, with 1.3 Miles of Baby’s Village (1500 corners) around the world, Sucre d’Orge remains one
of the leading brands on this market. The group has also developped its business on the retail side
with Berlingot and under private labels with its department Arc en Ciel Diffusion.
